For many years, North Texas Premier Soccer Association was the largest USASA/USSF sanctioned amateur association in the USA. Each season, they held an “Open House”, inviting potential players to come and show their skills to Captains and Coaches, looking to add new talent to their teams. Those tryouts faded away in the early 2000’s. In Spring of 2021, new league leadership decided to revive the program, and more than 100 players – Open Division, Over-30’s, -40’s, and -50’s – came out to show their skills. The Over-30, -40, and -50 Captains were there, too – but not a single Open Division representative came. The younger players were an outstanding group, so the league President and Commissioner decided just to form a new team out of them; “United FC” became the name.
